1.Adjectif court(1 à 2 syllabes)=on ajoute -er à l'adjectif comparatif:
.adjectif + -er + than
Ex:New York City is a larger city than ...
2.Adjectif long(plus de 2 syllabes)=on ajoute more devant l'adjectif.
.more + adjectif + than
Ex:Nex York City is more attractive than...

Les adjectifs se terminent en -y font leur comparatif en -ier
