SIT STILL rule
Simple vowels letter followed by a symbol consonant or a double consonant arte pronounced with the laxe vowel Ex : hill
CAKE rule
Simple vowels letters followed by a single consonant letter + vowel letter (mute and final) is pronounced with a tense value EXEPT IF IT IS A < r > Ex : face, price, goose
The OLD transformation rule
< O > finished by LD, LK, LL is pronounced with a tense value (exept for doll) -> its an exeption of the SIT STILL rule
ASK words
A group of words in which the a is pronounced with the START and not the STRAP sound : /a/ followed by voiceless fricatives : -> in 180 words -> in some accents, not the others Ex : path, basket...
The ALL BALD transformation rule
In some words the normal label values transforms before , , , , and are prononced with the NORTH sound EXEPT for shall
