FEMOROACETABULAR IMPINGEMENT

Femoroacetabular impingement is a morphological abnormality that develops on the femoral head, acetabulum or both. It's an abnormal contact btw proximal femur and acetabulum. Two main types: CAM (when the bone of the neck growth excessively), Pincer (overgrowth of the acetabular side of the bone)

SUBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT:

Diagnostic criteria: (need to have the 3)

-symptoms (patient reporting pain, clicking, catching, stiffness or giving away)

-clinical signs ( restricted ROM or positive impingement test)

-radiological finding (CAM, Pincer or mixed)


-painful and decrease hip flexion and IR ROM

-pain when sitting for too long, squat...


TESTS:

-Faber test

-Faddir test

-Scour test

-Thomas test
